Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Car AI website at carai.chat, the Car AI web app at app.carai.chat and related services (together, the “Service”). The Service is operated by EL Software Services LLC (“we”, “us”, “our”). By accessing or using the Service, or by purchasing a subscription, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

The Service

Car AI is an AI-powered car companion: it lets you chat with an AI assistant about your car, view vehicle data and diagnostics and, where your vehicle supports it, use remote features through connected-car providers. Features depend on your vehicle make, model and region, and we may add, change or remove features at any time.

AI-generated answers are provided for information only and may be inaccurate or incomplete. They are not a substitute for a qualified mechanic or for the instructions of your vehicle manufacturer. Never use the Service in a way that distracts you while driving.

Eligibility and your account

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to purchase a subscription. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you give us, for keeping access to your account and email secure, and for all activity under your account. You may connect only vehicles that you own or are authorized to use.

Subscriptions and payment

• Some features require a paid subscription. The price, billing period and any introductory offer are shown to you before you pay.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price, and the payment method you provided is charged on renewal, until you cancel.
• If an introductory or trial period applies, the regular price is charged automatically when it ends unless you cancel before then.
• If a renewal payment fails, we may retry the charge to the payment method on file. Access to paid features may be suspended until payment succeeds.
• Payments are processed by third-party payment processors. We do not store your full card number. Charges appear on your statement under the Car AI / EL Software Services LLCdescriptor.
• Prices may include or exclude taxes depending on your location.

Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel your subscription at any time by contacting us at support@carplayconnect.io. Cancellation stops future renewals; you keep access to paid features until the end of the billing period you have already paid for. Except where required by applicable law, payments are non-refundable, but you may contact us about any charge and we review refund requests individually.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
• access or control a vehicle you are not authorized to use;
• copy, modify, reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the Service, except where the law allows it;
• interfere with, overload or disrupt the Service or its security;
• resell or commercially exploit the Service without our written permission.

Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties, including connected-car providers (such as Smartcar), payment processors and hosting and analytics providers. Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party services or for vehicle features a manufacturer does not support.

Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, text and trademarks, is owned by EL Software Services LLC or its licensors. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your own non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or that vehicle data will always be accurate or current.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, EL Software Services LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, revenue or profits, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you breach these Terms or if we stop providing the Service. You may stop using the Service at any time.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, except where the law of your country of residence gives you protections that cannot be waived.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Service after the changes take effect means you accept them.
